I never knew how relaxing Beach Clubs were until I went to Canggu, Bali. Bali is home to a variety of different types of Beach Clubs. Some are small and some are large that host many events. Keep reading to read about the best Bali Beach Clubs that exist!
When I went to Bali, I went to quite a few Beach Clubs, however only a few of them stuck in my mind, especially those in Canggu Bali.
Canggu, Bali was the place where I had the ultimate experience going to Beach Clubs. First of all, the Beach Clubs in Canggu Bali suited my budget travel with no entry fee. Second, the Canggu is surfer heaven which means that you get to enjoy people surfing all day on the beach while you are relaxing at a Beach Club.
Batu Bolong is the type of beach that not just anyone can grab a surfboard and go for a try. It is definitely for experienced surfers which actually is very amusing and enjoyable to watch.
Below I am going to list my favourite 3 Beach Clubs in Canggu Bali being 1 as my absolute favourite because it checks everything off for me as a budget traveler.
#1. La Brisa Bali Beach Club
Address: Jl. Pantai Batu Mejan, Canggu, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361, Indonesia
Hours: 10AM – 11PM
My absolute favourite place to relax in Canggu, Bali! If you enjoy rustic decor, you will love this place. Everything is made with reclaimed wood from fisherman boats and it is just breathtaking. I am not exaggerating, you have to check it out!
At La Brisa, they have bean bag chairs on the beach and some on the upper deck or chairs, tables and day beds by the pool. You can check out all of the options on their website. They have added more areas since I visited La Brisa such as a cocktail area, deck chairs, dining restaurant, bed area, sofa areas by the pool and ocean, low bar table, small sofa, and a tower. It is crazy to think of how much they have done in such a small time. The towers were being built when I was there.
La Brisa used to let you sit on a comfortable bean bag chair ALL DAY for no minimum spend!! Things have changed now that the place has become so popular. You will be spending at least 500,000 IDR (approx 50 CAD) to get a seat, so I recommend spending the day there. The best part about La Brisa is that your minimum spend fully goes towards your food and beverages.
The menu at La Brisa includes a variety of things such as small bites and sharing, medium plates, large plates, healthy plates, pizza, a kids menu and sweets. They also have a large amount of drinks such as mocktails, wine, cocktails etc…) As a budget traveller, I don’t typically spend money on food at a place like this, however a nice pizza by the beach never hurts.
I cannot recommend this place enough, can’t you tell? Haha. I promise you, it is worth it even just to walk around and look at the outstanding decor. The environment at La Brisa Bali, make it my top choice of Bali beach clubs to visit.
La Brisa also hosts many events during the summer months. So make sure to take a look at their website to see if you are in the area during any events.
PRO TIP:
Get a bean bag or chair where you can view the ocean because one of my favourite parts of La Brisa was watching the surfers do their thing!
#2. The Lawn Canggu Beach Club
Address: Jl. Pura Dalem, Canggu, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361, Indonesia
Hours: Friday – Sunday: 10AM – 11PM
Monday – Thursday: 12PM – 10PM
The Lawn Canggu has many different options from floor seats, day beds, beach chairs and even beach cabanas. This beach club covers it all in a pretty small space. They have recently renovated the place and it looks phenomenal.
The floor seats are free to use without having to spend anything. This is great for someone who wants to just enjoy the atmosphere. The day beds, beach chairs and beach cabanas require a minimum spend. One of my favourite parts of Canggu Beach Clubs is if they require a minimum spend, they allow you to spend it on food and drinks. The food was very delicious from the Lawn Canggu, so no need to worry about the food not being worth your money.
PRO TIP:
Contact The Lawn Canggu on WhatsApp. This is how you book your time at the Lawn Canggu and they respond promptly.
#3. Finns Beach Club
Address: Jalan Pantai Berawa, Tibubeneng, Canggu, Badung, Bali 80361, Indonesia
Hours: Daily from 10AM to 12AM
Finns Beach Club is further down on Canggu Beach. It is located on Berawa Beach which made it not as convenient as I stayed on near Batu Bolong Beach. I highly recommend staying in the Batu Bolong Beach area when looking for your accommodations in Canggu. You can see some of my recommendations here.
I recommend booking ahead if you want to reserve any furniture such as day beds. These beach clubs are popular and get very busy at night.
Finns Beach Club is a popular hangout location on Berawa Beach in Canggu. It is a large beach club featuring 4 pools, 9 bars, and 5 restaurants. There are daybeds and beanbags on the sand for a minimum spend that includes a towel for the day. This beach club is quite lively and usually busy. They have DJS that begin playing at 4pm daily, and feature a variety of music. If you’re looking for an exciting party atmosphere, then this is your spot!
Some budget friendly options are walking in and finding a seat. Note that they are first come, first serve. If you are comfortable with spending some money, check out the prices on Finns Beach Club website for renting furniture.
Finns Beach Club has free entry which is exciting for all of us budget travellers. After you enter, you are also able to sit at a bar or restaurant with no minimum spend.
It is my goal to find budget friendly activities without actually decreasing the quality of the experience. This is why you should continue to follow my content as I travel and explore the world through a budget lens with quality.
PRO TIP:
If you are a budget traveller, line up early to get the tables that have no minimum spend.
